Vallecito Fireworks 3

4th of July Fireworks over the Angler's Wharf Marina in Vallecito, Colorado.

I watched the show from a private dock the marina offers to their customers. I wasn't the only one with that idea, either. Many other boat owners who moor their boats on this dock came to watch the show too. And why not?! These were the best seats in the house.

Some folks were barbecuing on their pontoon boats, the smell of good cooking wafting on the air. Others were fishing, but most were just socializing. Kids would oooh and ahhh as every firework went off and echoed like thunderous canon shots in the Vallecito valley. There was even a small wedding taking place in the Lake Chamber of Commerce some distance to the left. I could here their music blasting out across the lake. "Living In America," by James Brown seemed the perfect touch to an already perfect night.
